Most upgrade boards are full of cards you can't afford. That's not a coincidence: they're ranked by how many stubs you'd make, so an expensive card always wins even when a cheap one has a stronger signal. Spencer Torkelson has the strongest signal on our entire board — 91 out of 100 — and he's never made a board all week, because 71 stubs can't outrank 1,700. So we built this one differently. This is the Diamond Radar — what it is, what it looks like, and how it has actually done. Every night we score all 1,623 Live Series cards in MLB The Show 26 against what those players are really doing on a baseball field, and put a number on which ones the next roster update is likely to move. Here's the part nobody shows you: only about 28 in 100 cards on the Radar go up in a major update at all. So we graded ourselves. At the bottom of our signal scale, 2% of cards upgraded. At the top, 84%. The ones we flag hardest went 80 in 100. Across the three graded updates this season, 401 of our calls landed. Cristopher Sánchez returned 2,751 stubs a copy. Misiorowski 2,400. Crow-Armstrong 2,190. And the one everybody told us we had wrong — Yordan Alvarez. The comments said no chance. We didn't argue, we published a number: 35%. He went 91 to 93, past our own call, and moved 18,190 to 33,846 stubs. That's 15,656 a copy. Worth being straight about the other side: the biggest rating jump we called all season was +12 overall, and it made you 23 stubs. The biggest percentage is never the biggest payday. And it will never tell you a card is a lock. Nothing on our scale gets past the mid-80s, and anyone promising you 90% is guessing.
